Frequently asked questions
What is the expected delivery time?
Upon confirmation of your order, your delivery is expected to reach you within a timeframe of 24-48 hours. However, the time may vary with the area of delivery.
How do I store them?
The cookie dough can be safely stored in zipped airtight containers or packets. Keep them in the freezer if you’re planning to use them for a longer period of time.
How long can they stay in the freezer?
The best part about cookie dough  is that they remain fresh for 30 days! Store them in your refrigerator and bake them whenever you feel like it!
Can I bake them straight from the freezer?
Yes!  You absolutely can! The baking time would be slightly longer than the usual defrosted doughs. Keep an eye on the cookies while they bake and give them time to cool down for a minute or so once the baking is done.
Can I refrigerate it?
You can keep it in the refrigerator if you’re planning to bake them the very same day. I’d recommend freezing it for a longer shelf life.
Can I bake it in a microwave?
Sadly, the dough cannot be baked in a microwave. You’d need any oven that has a pre heating mode. However the best part is, you can simply bake them in your pressure cooker or a closed top kadai.
What type of tray should I use for baking?
Any oven friendly material such as aluminium tray/cake trays will be suitable. Place a parchment paper or silicone mat and place the doughs. Also, be sure of wearing the right insulated hand gloves while handling the hot trays post baking.
I don’t have parchment paper/silicone mat, can I grease the tray with butter?
It is not advisable to use butter/oil for greasing the tray because the cookies will end up spreading excessively and losing their shape. Use either parchment paper, aluminium foil or silicone mat.
What temperature should I bake my cookies at?
For a convection oven or an OTG, preheat and bake at 160 degree Celsius. For a pressure cooker, you can pre heat at low flame and bake at medium flame.
How long should I bake the cookies?
The ideal time for baking cookies is anywhere between 10-15 minutes. It can be chewy or crunchy. However, you can experiment different timings to find the best bake time for your oven/cooker and your palette.
My cookie is still soft after taking it out of the oven. Is it edible then?
Yes! Even after taking out of the oven, the cookies will continue to bake.  Let them cool on your counter top for at least 5 minutes and you’ll see them harden up post which you can have it the crunchy way!
How do I store the cookies after baking?
You can keep the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature and consume them upto one week. The cookies can also be stored in a ziplock bag and freezing them would increase the shelf life to 2 months.
I want a bigger cookie than this. What do I do?
The Dough Co provides a packaging of 25gm per cookie. If you’re looking to bake a bigger cookie, you can combine two to three balls into one big ball and then bake them. Ensure you flatten the ball a little and bake them at an even spread.
Does the cookie dough have any added preservatives?
All products of The Dough Co. contain no added preservatives and are made with high quality ingredients. The quality check is done regularly and given the dough is homemade, there’s a guarantee of good hygiene standards.
